I wish I was just sitting with you in your garden listening. That was a lot. I'm holding it with you, praying Psalm 23 for you in my heart.

Sally, thank you for sharing your heart so honestly. Your words, "You are not alone. I am wandering this path with you," were especially comforting because grief can feel so isolating. I also appreciated your perspective that no one ever becomes an expert at grief. Every loss is different because every relationship is different. The deeper we love, the deeper we grieve. My husband's father passed away last February. He was a godly man and the father I never had but always wanted. We miss him deeply, yet we are so grateful for the years God gave us with him and for the godly legacy he left behind. I was especially touched by your description of seeing your dad's fingerprints throughout the home and how difficult it feels to change anything. Those little reminders carry so much meaning. Thank you for reminding us that while grief is painful, God can bring gratitude, healing, and hope from the ashes. And what a beautiful hope we have in Christ, that one day grief itself will be no more.
